Product Description

Overview:

Quick Click 38mm (1.50″) antistatic hose cuff with swivel end measuring 38mm on the ID (inner diameter) of the slip end. Designed to thread onto a 38mm ID vacuum hose. The nose of the hose cuff is designed to swivel 360 degrees accepting a 38mm male fitting.

Features and Benefits:

  • 38mm ID female slip end swivels 360 degrees to reduce strain on wrist, forearms, and hose kinking
  • Threads onto the external threads of a 38mm ID crushproof hose. Hose will have an outer diameter of approximately 51mm (2.00″).
  • Antistatic cuff conductivity measures 10 to the 8th ohms resistivity
  • Moulded in the USA from a base PVC material with conductive additive
  • Antistatic vacuum hose cuff measure 100mm (4.00″) in length

Frequently asked questions:

How do I confirm this hose cuff will fit my hose?

First confirm the hose you have is spiral would. You can do this my placing your finger on the crown of the hose pitch and trace around the hose. If your finger spirals down the hose you have confirmed it to be a spiral wound hose.  Second confirm the inner diameter of your hose measures approximately 38mm across the diameter. 38mm ID hose will have an approximate outer diameter of 51mm due to the wall thickness of the hose.

How do I confirm it will fit the mating part once installed on the hose?

The inner diameter of the slip end (swivel end) of the hose cuff measures 38mm. This is designed to accept 38mm male ends on items like the vacuums tube, an accessory like a crevice tool, or a work station male connection.

What does it mean when you say the cuff is dissipative?

The hose end is moulded in a material which will allow a static charge to move across the part seeking a point of ground. In the case of the cuff this property is 10 to the 8th ohms resistivity which is a measurement of how conductive the part is in application. In use the purpose of a dissipative hose end is to carry this property from a dissipative hose offering a slip female end for easier connection.

Compatibility:

Compatible with spiral wound, crushproof vacuum hoses with an example from our catalogue being 67612. To connect to dust collection vacuums such as Festool, Bosch, Fein, Makita, Starmix, and Mirka that are equipped to provide a path to ground add the 69856 adaptor which uses a 58mm male (check your vacuum first!)
