42434 air relief / bleed to prevent plastic collapse under a sealed condition. ( 2 pack )
Utilisation of plastic containers with high sealed suction vacuums defined as those that exceed 100″ of water lift can result in a collapsed pail if air flow through the separator is not maintained resulting in a sealed state. The duration of the fully sealed condition can increase the risk of a collapsed container.
Features and Benefits:
- The 42434 is designed to allow air to flow into the pail to counter a fully sealed condition and reduce the potential of collapse
- The 41434 is installed in the lid by drilling a 12.7mm (0.5″) hole inserting the relief and sealing gasket through the container and using the nut provided to lock the air relief in place on the underside of the lid
- Vacuums rated above 125″ of water lift may call for a second relief if the application results in repeated sealed conditions or sealed conditions of extended duration
- While a modest volume of air will flow through the relief, it will not detract from the effectiveness of the separator or significantly reduce the performance that can be expected from the vacuum
